Louisiana's 1st Choice Auto Auction is a dealers’ only car auction located in Hammond, La. We’re looking for 1-2 mechanics to assist in the processing of clients' vehicles in the remarketing process. Applicants would be working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Applicants should have a good attitude and self-motivated, organized, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Some of these processes may include:
- Diag. of vehicles, no start no run
- Diag. of vehicles, crank no start
- Diag. of OBDII, CEL, ABS/SRS, Traction lights
- Repair suggestions and estimations: batteries, belts, starters, alternators, fuel pumps, brakes, plugs, coils, radiators, condensers, compressor, blower motors, interior and exterior parts and accessories in timely manner.
- Managing repair estimates, parts orders, as well as communicating effectively with managers during the repair process.
- Assist in post-sale inspection of vehicles
- Additional skills: ASE certifications, NAAA structural Damage knowledge, NAAA arbitration guidelines, All-Data, Mitchell, A/C / Freon Permit
