Kicking Off Carnival Season
LOUISIANA’S FIRST CHOICE AUTO AUCTION KICKS OFF CARNIVAL SEASON WITH BEAD DRIVE FOR OPTIONS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (January 18, 2017) – With carnival season in full swing, OPTIONS was pleased to receive its first donation of Mardi Gras beads from a bead drive held at Louisiana’s First Choice Auto Auction. Employees who donated beads for the drive won special blue ribbon points to buy auction merchandise and customers who made a donation earned promotional John Dough dollars for the special John Dough gift auctions in May and December held after the car auction to reward customers for their business.
The donated beads will be sorted and packaged for resale providing meaningful work for men and women with disabilities. OPTIONS Development Director Jaclyn Rice says, “It’s a win-win situation. This operation provides our clients with meaningful work and earning potential and we are grateful to all those who support our efforts. We couldn’t do it without donations and we thank Louisiana’s 1st Choice for sponsoring this successful bead drive.”
Owner and Manager Partner, John Poteet, has served on the Options Board of Directors for 9 years, with 3 of those as board president. He and his staff have been faithful supporters of the OPTIONS organization. Assistant General Manager of Operations, Matt Alombro, also serves on the board. They encourage anyone, individuals or businesses, who have Mardi Gras beads cluttering their attic to give OPTIONS a call and contribute to this worthwhile organization.
