October is GEAUX PINK month at Louisiana’s 1st Choice Auto Auction! That means that our staff will wear GEAUX PINK t-shirts at each sale in honor of breast cancer awareness and to stress the importance of early detection. We will also do various fund-raising during the month to support the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. They provide free cancer screenings via mobile units that go to different locations in the community. Visit their website at www.marybird.org for more information about the powerful work they do. Money from our charity golf tournament on Oct. 2, our bake sale on Oct. 14, and bracelet and ribbon sales throughout the month will be donated to Mary Bird Perkins. Dealers who donate to the cause will be awarded John Dough to use in our December John Dough Gift Auction to bid on some wonderful gift items. We will present Randy Haddad of the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center a check at the end of the month. Help us make it a big one!
