In case you hadn’t noticed, there’s a lot of activity this summer at Louisiana’s 1st Choice Auto Auction. We continue our facility improvements with a completed paving project adding more consignment parking for 800-1200 vehicles and an expanded transport lot. We have two employees graduating from Auction Academy after two years of studying, traveling and networking with other independent auction professionals in our industry. And we have several promotional events in July and August!Congratulations to Bridget Higginbotham, AGM/Sales Manager, and Matt Alombro, Operations Manager, from your 1st Choice family.
Our Independence Day Event is July 1 with a Fire & Ice Giveaway worth $1500. It includes a Yeti cooler full of beverages, a Weber grill with table, Margaritaville Margarita machine, and a cedar patio set. We have two more prizes of a $100 American Express gift card, bottle of our delicious LAFCAA signature barbecue sauce, and a LAFCAA grill master apron. Perhaps you will be the lucky buyer or seller to win one of these great prizes just in time for your 4th of July celebration.
On July 15, we celebrate with our 2nd Annual Summer Lagniappe sale. Buyers are eligible for a beach trip to Cancun and sellers are eligible for a beach trip to Destin. If the winners are too busy to travel they can opt for a cash prize instead. Everyone can enjoy our lagniappe that day via a relaxing chair massage, refreshing Kona Shaved Ice, and a specially prepared lunch by Dean and Mark.

We’ll end our summer fun with our traditional Tail Gate Sale on August 26th. We’ll have over 700 vehicles and lots of great tail gate prizes including football tickets to watch the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. And of course there will be a tasty, free lunch, just like we have every Tuesday.
Our mission statement is to “provide a clean, ethical, fun and safe auction environment for our customers and employees.” We are certainly fulfilling that mission this summer.
